This is the first part of my Kamikaze Krew entry (The second part will come later), my Amanda Waller, Eleanor Braxton!
I didn't change too much from Amanda Waller, personally because I think she's awesome and DC shouldn't have changed her in the reboot. I did give her an eyepatch 'cause she's like Nick Fury for the bad guys, keeping her team in line, punching things herself when necessary.
The top comic reveals my first pick for the Kamikaze Krew (Brigadier Brrr can pull double duty for two teams, right?) If it were an actual comic, he'd be the reader surrogate character to get people introduced to the Krew, but I'll get more into that later.
Questions about Mr. Bunny will be ignored.
The comic on the right is an homage to Waller and Lex Luthor's role in Justice League Unlimited.

To be honest, I don't think I would've changed her look that much too. In fact, I probably would've just done what you did...since I too think her New 52 redesign was moronic. Though you could say that about most of the redesigns. 
I like the addition of the eye patch...since Amanda Waller is pretty much being used as a Nick Fury, so it's like a little commentary on the unoriginal aspects of the character.
I think you've set up her personality really well. Makes you want to start using her straight away.
